Week 19

This week has been a good week, but it seemed to take forever to get back around to Monday.

The [new] area is good. We don’t have any solid investigators, but we have some potentials. There are a lot of Asians here. Not a lot of them speak English. Or they do and just say that they can’t so they don’t have to talk to us.

I’m still doing a lot of finding so that I can eventually teach people. This area doesn’t have a car so we walk, but I don’t mind. It gives us a lot of time to talk to people on the street, which is fun.

The people here don’t really like us that much, but it’s all good. Everyone has their opinions.

I’m loving Elder Brown as my companion. He is a real hard worker.

That’s all for this week.

Week 18

Not a whole lot is happening here, but I’m still very busy. I just got called and told that I am being emergency transferred. Another Elder is going home because of illness, so I’m moving to Hurstville. It’s at the top of our mission. I’m going to miss Camden though. I do know that the lord wants me there for some reason, and I’m going to figure out why when I get there. Thanks for all your support. Sorry this is a short message. I love you all!

I’m learning Tongan, but this book is Samoan.

Week 17

This week was about average with how it went. I was able to go and look at helicopters this morning with one of the members, and that was fun.

In terms of missionary work.. not a good week with teaching investigators, but a great week with teaching members and less actives. We are trying to teach the two kids that we got last week, but it’s their summer vacation here and they left to go to Tonga. They should be back soon though, hopefully this week.

We had to drop our other two investigators because they just weren’t progressing and we couldn’t really teach them. One left the country, and the other didn’t want us to teach any more. But we did get these two kids, and we are going to start working with the part member families and we will see how that goes.

We have been giving heaps of blessings this week. And the Young Men did a mini mission so we got to take a mini missionary out with us and go tracting. He did really good. In fact we taught a lesson at a doorstep and talked for like 45 minutes about the gospel with the questions he had. Other than that not a lot happened.

I love you all! Talk to you next week.

Week 16

Well this week was an alright week. We were doing a lot of paper work and organizing and mapping out our area. We are super organized now, and we were able to get two new investigators.

They are little kids, one is an 8 year old girl and the other is a 10 year old boy. They belong to a less active family, so hopefully we will be able to reactivate the family and be able to teach these two the gospel as well.

People here don’t really have a belief. They are kinda anti religious. If they only knew what they were missing out on, then I know that they would be willing to hear what we have to say.

That’s it for this week. I love you all. Have a great week!

The Seegmiller family fed the Elders and made an oreo cheesecake birthday cake for Elder Newman.

Week 15

This week has been a good week! Missionary work is starting to pick back up. We got a lot of lessons this week, but our investigators are still way busy. We should be able to actually teach them this week.

We have been focusing on finding so that we have more people to teach, and we have found some potentials. We are going to get busy working with them this week, but other than that not a lot happened.

New Years is just another day of work for us missionaries, so we didn’t do anything special. I’m still doing good. Thanks for all the prayers. Things are starting to happen. This area is just starting up, and I’m excited! I love you all.

We came across these mannequins when we were out tracting.
